Who’s behind the recent assassinations and bombings in Iran? Scott Shane, national security correspondent for The New York Times, said on The Takeaway this morning:
“Most of the people that I talked to believe that most of this activity — at least the violent part — is probably being carried out by Israel. There is a little bit of debate about the US role is. Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, a nuclear scientist was killed in a car explosion in Tehran on Wednesday. A motorcyclist stuck an apparent bomb to Ahmadi-Roshan’s car, and he and another unidentified person were killed in the attack.
Several Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated in recent years, with Iran blaming Israel and the US. Both countries deny the accusations.
